Biography
Dr. Raimond N.B. van Duinen was educated at the University of Amsterdam. Since 1987 he practices in The Hague, Netherlands and focuses since 40 years on Biomimetic Dentistry.
While working as a researcher for ACTA, a department of the University of Amsterdam, Dr. Raimond N.B. van Duinen developed a special interest for Bioactive restoratives like Glass Ionomers.
In 2005 he published a promotional study on the perspectives of traditional Glass Ionomer Cement as a universal direct restorative material.
From 2005 he works as a researcher and lecturer in cooperation with different European Universities (like Queen Mary, London and the dental school of the University of Zagreb) and companies.
He is involved in the development of new biocompatible restoratives. Also he is joining a team in two different European projects to improve the possibilities of biomimetic filling materials.
In 2013 he initiated an International Biomimetic Expertise group with several opinion leaders all over the world.
