Biography
Jenny Abanto is a paediatric dentistry specialist and has obtained her MSc, PhD and Post-PhD in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. Later, she obtained her Post-PhD in the field of Epidemiology for Mother and Child Health and Nutrition at the USP, Brazil. She has been conducting clinical research in the field of Paediatric Dentistry for infants and preschoolers the past 20 years publishing 5 books on pediatric dentistry for babies and 75 scholarly articles in professional peer-reviewed journals. She is currently Chair Professor in Pediatric Dentistry for Babies Postgraduate course at FAOA Dental School and University of Alcalá, in Brazil and Spain, respectively. She is the Clinical and Scientific Coordinator of the Oral Health Area of the Study of Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition (MINA) in the first 1,000 days of life at the Public Health School of University of Sao Paulo in Brazil. She has extensively been lecturing in Latin America and Europe.
