WORKSHOP: Minimally Invasive Dentistry and Bioactive materials

SDI HANDS ON: MINIMALLY INVASIVE DENTISTRY (MID) AND BIOACTIVE MATERIALS

This hands-on workshop is designed for revolutionary pediatric dentistry, with an open mind to change conventional practices and embrace minimally invasive techniques.

Key Features of the Workshop:

Lecture: In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn about the evolution of minimally invasive dentistry (MID) from the 1980s to today. The new concept of MID focuses on regenerating caries lesions in enamel and dentine, providing definitive treatment, whereas the minimally invasive dentistry of the 1980s only aimed to halt the progression of caries lesions as a provisional measure.

Hands-on Training – Caries in Enamel: During the practical session, participants will practice MID treatment on teeth with enamel caries. This includes:

– Protocol and manipulation of Riva Star Aqua, SDF 38%, and the importance of KI to reduce staining from SDF.
– Protocol and manipulation of Riva Protect, Riva Self Cure, and Riva Light Cure.

Hands-on Training – Caries in Dentine: Participants will practice MID on dentine caries during this practical session, learning the best methods for selective caries removal and regenerating affected dentine. This includes:

– Protocol and manipulation of Riva Self Cure HV and Riva Light Cure HV.
