Product Description

The Natural Response Baby Bottle with Natural Response teat requires vacuum and pressure, as per peristaltic motion, to release milk. This requires a baby to drink actively as they would at the breast, so they can regulate the speed and volume of the feed via their own natural rhythm.

Breastfeeding involves an “active feeding” response between mother and baby, whereby the natural suck– swallow–breathe rhythm regulates milk flow to meet the baby’s individual needs.

By contrast, traditional baby bottles deliver a more passive feed, with milk flowing freely and continuously regardless of baby’s natural rhythm or needs. The inability to regulate or pause milk flow may contribute to negative effects such as forced suck-swallow-breathe patterns that result in oxygen desaturation, discomfort such as burping and spitting up, and vomiting and reflux due to overfeeding.

Furthermore, it’s a concern to parents that their baby may develop a preference for passive feeding — where less work is involved — and therefore refuse to feed at the breast.

We believe babies and parents need better.

Our new Natural Baby Bottle range was designed to support a more active feeding response through the innovative J-Slit technology on every Natural Response teat. This unique design allows baby’s own suck– swallow–breathe rhythm to control the speed and volume of milk flow.

And similar to breastfeeding, milk flow is initiated and paused by the peristaltic motion of vacuum and pressure from the baby’s tongue, rather than gravity.

Now when you want a bottle that enables active feeding, go with your Natural Response.
