Biosmalto Baby-Kids Toothpaste with Fluoride (6 months – 6 years)
7 years of research and numerous clinical tests have led to the emergence of the new Biosmalto range. The formula with 3 innovative functional substances based on biomimetic, biocompatible and bioactive materials contributes to the repair and remineralization of enamel and dentin.
Biomimetic activity:
The functional substances in Curasept Biosmalto have chemical, physical, morphological and mechanical properties similar to the naturally occurring biological structure (enamel and dentin). In a physiological environment, these substances can stimulate processes, such as remineralization, that are similar to those that occur in the presence of natural biological tissue.
Biocompatibility:
Curasept Biosmalto is used for a specific biomedical application, without causing toxic effects on the biological system.
The affinity of chitosan with enamel facilitates the release of active ions directly onto tooth surfaces.
Bioactivity:
Curasept Biosmalto is able to chemically interact with dental hard tissues by depositing a new mineral phase in continuity with the existing one.
Mixture of Biomimetic Hydroxyapatites:
- Partially magnesium, strontium;
- Hydroxyapatite substituted with carbonate;
- Conjugated with chitosan.
- Carbonate – creates bioavailable active ions;
Magnesium – promotes nucleation;
Strontium – stabilizes the newly formed mineral phase;
Chitosan – prolongs the release of active components.
Chitosan’s affinity with enamel facilitates the release of active ions directly onto dental surfaces.
